Club celebrates runners achievements
Saturday was a fun packed evening for members of Three Counties Running Club where they celebrated in style the success and achievements of the club and the individuals.
The club was formed in March 2016 with a handful of runners mostly running couch to 5k. Since then the club has successfully helped, supported and encouraged individuals of all abilities to master and gain confidence in 5k, half marathons, marathons and even Ultra events. The club which is going from strength to strength and has a club base of over 100 members loves to encourage people from all ages including the Junior runners taking part in the Junior Parkrun on a Sunday and also the Active Fenland supported sessions for the children in the school holidays which all children are welcome to take part in.
25 awards were presented for some fantastic achievements over the previous 12 months and the members danced the night away with no trainers or Lycra insight. Awards were: Best New Male and Female Athlete - Gary Ingrey and Dawn Ball Most improved Male and Female - Matt Hunter and Tracey Else Fastest Male and Female 5k - Daniel Barnes and Elisabeth Sennitt-Clough Fasted Male and Female 5k Age % - Gary Bligh And Trudy Sayell Fastest Male and Female 10k - Graham Rushmer and Elisabeth Sennitt Clough Fastest Male and Female 10k Age % - Barry Clark and Nicole Coughlin Fastest Male and Female half marathon- Graham Rushmer and Elisabeth Sennitt Clough Fastest Male and Female half marathon Age % - Keith White And Teresa Rodrigues Fastest Male and Female marathon - Tim Clough and Elisabeth Sennitt Clough Fastest Ultra Marathon - Nicole Coughlin Outstanding achievement-Morgan Harrison Personal achievement- Sarah-Jane Macdonald Outstanding contribution - Spencer Neilly Active Fenland Best Male and Female - Ricky Kitchener and Tina Rust Club Champion nominated by the members went to Gary Bligh. London marathon ballot place - Graham Rushmer
The Junior winners were: Best Male and Female Junior Athlete - Morgan Harrison and Lily Amps Active Fenland Male and Female - Issac Western And Imogen Agger Best Junior Parkrunner Male and Female - Hayden Hall and Maisie Macdonald.
The weekend also saw the members swop their dancing shoes for trainers and run various Parkruns. TCRC members travelled to March to support Donna Johnson Running her 50th Parkrun.
Mark Mattless was first Home for the club in 23:44 followed by Donna Johnson in 28:18, Victoria May, Emily Clarke And Sarah-Jane Macdonald all crossing the line in 28:19, Barry Clark 29:36, Melvin Green 31:10, Sarah Lamb 31:40, Elliot Green 31:58 and Jennie Sinclair 32:59 CPB.

Sunday saw 2 TCRC members take part in the Shouldham XC race which was a 6.5km event. Kirsten Muller finished in a great time of 28:32 and Victoria May in 37:25.
